You know when a tune just fits?

I am a great lover of music, especially meaningful songs...

I discovered this amazing artist when spending time with a friend in London and it symbolises those beautiful memories of Christmas... Its just, ... beautiful.

London Love

I have just arrived back from an amazing, refreshing trip to England for the winter vacation... I spent time between the relaxed countryside and capital...

It was an incredible two weeks... I was able to just relax and enjoy time with family and close friends...

The thing I enjoyed most about being there was being able to spoil loved ones... Treating the people I care about is one of the most rewarding feelings... What can be better than making others smile and surprising them?

I also enjoyed meeting new people and re-acquainting with long-term friends who welcomed me more than I could imagine...

I especially enjoyed simple pleasures such as exploring great restaurants, quirky boutiques, lush green parks and walking along historic streets filled with culture... The list is endless but one of the highlights has to be a friend taking me to the highest point in London, at the top of a beautiful hill and seeing the immense city lights sparkling in the distance...

End of the first term, 2011

I realise I have not been the best blogger recently, seriously lacked in keeping this updated over the past few months...

I started classroom teaching in September and it has been a fulfilling but consuming experience... I have been fully absorbed in work and also travelling here and there...

I am now finally on my christmas holidays which brings me joy for many reasons. Including the fact I have time for myself to do the creative things I love... such as read a new book, try a new arty hobby or write a post on my blog :-) I promise I will try my best to keep this going, even in term time... I believe strongly in keeping those passions alive.

I am already missing my little Angels :) !

Culture. Imagination. Memory. Travel. Personal Identity.

I am talking about 'moleskines'. Infamously used by artists and thinkers such as Hemingway, Picasso and Van Gogh, over the past two centuries.

These amazing little notebooks ooze creativity and inspire me as soon as they touch my fingertips... I can always remember when my brother first introduced me to his beloved 'moleskine'... used for impromptu sketching. I was hooked. It then became a favourite gift idea of mine, buying various styles.

I remember recieving my first moleskine from a colleague to congratulate me on my first corporate job. A little black 2009 planner.

The reason I am writing this post is because I bought a few new ones today for gifts and to add to my personal collection, including a 'moleskine travel journal'... I cannot wait to add my first entry.
